Friends of Lightning is a Supportive social group for anyone with learning difficulties, special needs or a disability.

Here at Friends of Lightning we offer a supportive safe space for all people with special needs and disabilities over the age of 16.

We know first hand how isolating growing up with special needs, leaning difficulties & disabilities can be.

That's why we've built our own supportive environment for us and our friends.

Pop in and join us

We are here 7 days a week offering every day support.

Free life skills classes.

Help with admin and on site support for anyone who needs it including relatives and caregivers.

We offer free fun activities every week including day trips to amusement parks, sea sides coach trips & educational tours.

We encourage our group members to get out and enjoy life to the fullest.

Promoting team work and confidence building.

Learning new skills and achieving new goals.

All our friendly staff and volunteers are here to offer support to all group members.

Feel free to come along and get involved in the fun or if you need some quiet time come and take advantage of our sensory rooms and chill out zone.

Our group members can enjoy a free £10 canteen top up each week.
